Spiwizzle This is some GOOD stuff. As a lover of CDs, this one is a real joy to throw on. The earworm melodies Chipper produces here are a real step forward for the genre as a whole, evoking an equal amount of nostalgia for my childhood (and this genre's hayday), as well as an optimism for the future, for an incoming wave of musicians this creative, this forward thinking.
Mask and the Shadow may belong to a genre many hold nostalgia for, but it's far from a nostalgia piece.

A new album from Chipper which is like nothing they've ever done before --- while it still has prominent breakbeats and sound design, this album actually focuses on vocals on top of an electro-industrial atmosphere??? Yeah this album stands out insanely well, even if you don't like it, it's crazy interesting. And that's not saying you won't like it, because as per usual, this album is amazing. Probably the best of the Chipper albums released here just because of the impeccable song structures. The melodic and rhythmic motifs gradually build into the breathtaking climax that is "Stream of Tears" creating an album experience that is not only endlessly entertaining, but a full-on album experience rather than something to be critiqued on a track-by-track basis. Certainly a groundbreaking album for the breakcore scene...
